Volume Alert: Harris Corp. (HRS)

Harris Corp. (NYSE: HRS) has already traded 150% of its average daily volume in just an hour since the open. Average volume is 1.14 million shares and it has already printed 1.85 million shares.
The 5% rise to $65.30 is fairly easy to fathom since there are numerous reports that the company is entertaining suitors to possibly sell the company. Unfortunately for it, the bids are not said to be very high for the communications and IT company for government and commercial markets.
With a $8.8 Billion market cap, it doesn’t exactly fit the mold of “an easy deal” during the credit crunch and more selective private equity buyers.
Its 52-week trading range is $44.11 to $66.94.
